Madagascar: IRB Training of Trainers course.
- Tuesday, 17 May 2011 07:00
From the 9th to the 11th of May 2011, an IRB training of trainers’ course was organised at the Lycée Technique of Alarobia in Tananarive. The idea was to train people who could then train coaches or referees and Regional Technical Advisers (CTR of the Malagasy Rugby Federation had been targeted).
The idea was to have a qualified person in each region and thus set up a training network that would work in the following manner :
-In the regions and animated by the CTR, Rugby Ready NI IRB coaches, referees
-Inter-regions animated by the National Technical Director (DTN), the Referees’ Training National Manager and the CTR NII IRB coaches, referees
-National animated by the National Technical Director, the Referees’ Training National Manager and the IRB RDM NIII IRB coaches, referees
Because of the overall level of the trainees, the implementation of this project will take a little longer than initially planned since only 8 out of the 19 trainees have received their accreditations.
Training courses of this kind will take place in Tunisia in September 2011, Cameroon in November 2011 and in Morocco, Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire in 2012.
