Fiji wins the Gold Coast Seven

Fiji Islands have won the first stage of the Sevens Rugby World circuit in Australia, by beating New-Zealand 36 to 12 in the Final. South-Africa finishes 3rd in the tournament after its victory against Australia 17 to 5.

For  Kenya, 2nd African representative in the World circuit, the adventure came to an end in the Shield’s Semi-Final, beaten by Japan 19 to 14. At the end of this 1st meeting of the season, South-Africa is placed 3rd in the World ranking. Kenya is placed 15th out of 16.

Next stage: Dubai, on the 2nd  and 3rd December.
