Leading 11-8 at the interval, Kenya fell to a 32-18 defeat at the hands of home side Uganda in a Victoria Cup fixture played at the Kyadondo Rugby Club in Kampala on Saturday 16th July 2011.
The result means that Zimbabwe are the new Victoria Cup winners with a match to spare. Their next tie against Kenya in Nairobi is reduced to a formality match.
Uganda completed their Victoria Cup fixtures with one win and three defeats, accumulating five points. They picked up a bonus point by virtue of scoring four tries. Kenya however retained the Elgon Cup by the slimmest of margins, 45-42 on aggregate.
