H Dubès in Madagascar

Herve Dubès, French Top 14 Referee and IRB Trainer, visited Madagascar a few days ago.

After having refereed the Indian Ocean Champions Club Final between COSFA of Tananarivo and the Club of St Pierre de la Réunion (victory of St Pierre 40-16), Hervé Dubès conducted during 3 days a 'Coach of Referee' training course to which 22 Malagasy referees participated. The objective of this training is to establish a system of backing for referees in service. The coaches are on the side of the field during the match and afterwards recap with the referees to identify the deficiencies and areas to work on in order to progress.

This training was certified by an IRB Coach of Referee Diploma that will be handed out in a few days to the fortunate beneficiaries by Marcel Rakotomalala, President of the Malagasy Rugby Federation.
