Africa Cup 1 C: Final
- Monday, 27 June 2011 14:51
On Saturday 25 June 2011, the verdict fell on the Africa Cup 1C tournament hosted in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
Although the odds were rather in favour of the local team, Senegal leaning on a strong defence, Steve Sargos’ diabolical kick and unwavering enthusiasm got the better of the favourites.
The Lions of Teranga won against the indomitable Lions of Cameroon with the score of 15-6 after a very animated match that was however always played in an excellent spirit. Congratulations therefore to all the players but also to Heikel Bahroun, Tunisian referee during this match, who when necessary was able to show his authority but let the game grow whenever it was possible.
During the first match, Zambia won against Botswana by 17-12.
Final ranking of the tournament:
1- Senegal
2- Cameroon
3- Zambia
4- Botswana
