The fourth edition of the Peace and Sport Awards will be held in the Principality of Monaco on Thursday 27 October 2011.

We are delighted to inform you that the application process for the Peace and Sport Awards 2011 is now open and we look forward to discovering the remarkable work you have been doing to use sport as a tool for peace in 2011.

Prizes will be awarded to the same six categories as in the 2010 edition of the Peace and Sport Awards, plus we have a new additional category to distinguish a top-level international sports champion who has used their sport and celebrity to make a significant contribution to promoting peace. Therefore, this year seven awards will be presented:

NEW in 2011: Champion for Peace of the Year
Best Peace Project from an International Sports Federation
Sports Event for Peace of the Year
Non-Governmental Organization for Peace of the Year
Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative of the Year
Special Jury Prize
Peace and Sport Image of the Year
