Africa Cup 1B - Zimbabwe vs Madagascar

The match played (Wednesday, June, 15 th) between Zimbabwe and Madagascar in the Africa Cup 1B Tournament at the Kyadondo Rugby Club in Kampala, (Uganda)

did not live up to the expectations with Zimbabwe totally overpowering the Madagascar team would did not perform as they usually.

They were out muscled up front by the heavy pack of Zimbabwe. The first half was a scrappy affair but Zimbabwe stepped up a gear in the second half and gave more purpose and direction to the game that allowed them to eventually win convincingly by 49 points to 0 and scoring 9 tries in the process.

With this victory Zimbabwe also wins the tournament despite the fact that Uganda and Madagascar still need to play on Saturday, 18 June 2011. Zimbabwe this gains promotion to Division 1A for 2012.
